Who are you and what do you do?
WHO IS LANA BERRY?? I get asked this so much it’s starting to give me an existential crisis. Basically I’m just a person who is unemployable and has been making a living on my own for the last six years. I find myself only being able to work doing things I really care about, so my work has definitely shifted over the course of that time. I’ve done all sorts of things: social media management, blogging, writing, consulting, coaching, etc. I now make the bulk of my money for being myself and teaching others how to do the same, working almost entirely off word of mouth. I consult and coach with individuals and businesses and teach them everything I know and continue to learn in the world of social media, marketing, and branding. Still curious? Check out this profile of me in Forbes. </humblebrag>
How did you build such a big following?
I have organically built a Twitter following of over 93,000 followers (and growing everyday!) without any other platform. No blog, no YouTube channel, no TV show, no real press or media, nothing. Just me sitting in front of (or behind? which is it?) a computer screen for hours a day for years, consistently posting about sports. Did my marketing background and copywriting knowledge help? Absolutely. But the main things that helped grow my following were good old fashioned consistency and building relationships. I detail all of the tips and tricks I normally only share in a $500 coaching call in my ebook, Internet Famous. It’s a quick read but I get right down to the nitty gritty of it all.
What do you do for your clients?
My services are tailored for each client’s needs. I basically apply my knowledge to whatever you need help with. Some of my specialties include: building a social media following, increasing your online visibility, branding, getting free press, building your ideal network, becoming an influencer, getting paid to be yourself, saving money on your marketing efforts, and so on. I also work with beginners who have no clue what they’re doing on social media and guide you through it, optimizing it for your goals. You can find out more here.
Are you currently taking clients?
Yes…sort of. I am devoting most of my time to creating new stuff for you guys on the net (that’s what the cool kids call it) so I am taking on very few clients that are a GREAT match and I know I can really help with. I am very passionate about helping my clients out, but I am definitely not for everyone. If you are committed to a great partnership and are interested in working with me, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will send you a short questionnaire to fill out. From there I will schedule a call with you to see if it’s a good fit!
Why did you create your ebooks and are they right for me?
My Internet Famous ebook was created for those who either couldn’t afford a coaching call with me or those who have been trying to figure out how to best utilize their social media but don’t know where to start. Getting the Call was created because I was constantly getting emails from people asking for advice on getting into sports. As someone who doesn’t actually work IN sports but peripherally around them, I decided to reach out to over 100 people across the industry and see what advice they had to offer and compile it into this ebook. The result was INCREDIBLE and it is an extremely useful resource even if you aren’t wanting to work in sports.
I am currently available for:
- radio shows
- tv shows
- public speaking
- guest posting
